Spiritual Practices
We believe that the following will help grow our spirituality in the Episcopal tradition and make us more effective followers of Jesus Christ
• Eucharist.
We celebrate communion with God as we participate in the Lord's Supper. We recommend that one attend Eucharist as frequently as possible and usually not less than once each week.
• Daily Office.
This is known as "fixed-hour prayer" of Daily prayer and Bible reading.
• Meditation.
Daily periods of personal meditation and stillness; resting in the presence of God. We recommend Centering Prayer or Lectio Divina
• Mindfulness.
The practice of finding God in all things and being thankful; becoming aware of the creation as we live in the light of God over all and in all. We seek to see the Presence of Jesus in all people. We recomend Brother Lawrence in Practicing the Presence of God and the Welcoming Prayer.
• Spiritual Direction.
Joining the head and the heart, seeing no conflict between a deep spirituality and academic pursuits. We provide resources for individual and group opportunities
• Service.
