Anglican/Episcopal Spirituality

Prior to class Eucharist at 5:30pm which is open to all
The Episcopal Church has a particular culture of spirituality that shapes its worship, thinking and action. It is a way of being and doing that rises out of several core values and assumptions about our existence as people and Christians. Explore how it works at St Alban’s and in your own life by joining us for a series of three sessions in September.
Some of the areas we will explore:
The program is a mix of presentation, discussion and experiential activities. Participants are asked to complete some short readings and to experiment with some form of spiritual discipline on your own in between sessions.Since each session builds on the others, we ask that you agree to attend all three sessions when registering.

- The Benedictine roots of Anglican spirituality
- The rhythm between activity and receptivity, spiritual renewal and daily life at work, with friends and with family
- How Prayer Book Spirituality offers a balanced spiritual life
- What makes the Eucharist effective in our lives
- Forms of daily prayer or daily spiritual practices
- Learning how to “pray the scriptures”
